Francisca Blázquez: AN ARTISTIC MAGIC SPELL

Francisca’s prolific creation goes beyond painting: digital creator, photographer, jewelry designer, sculptress, performing and installation artist, as well as video-dancer. It would not be an exaggeration to assert that she is an endless source of creativity and happiness for everyone following the poetry of her work, whatever ones choice is in art.

I have always thought the artistic creation has to offer a valid alternative against our boring daily routine. And this is exactly what Francisca does: it is so enjoyable to see her creation variety that you easily forget even the rush hour devastating effects and start to fulfill your brain with soft images, suggestive renderings and feelings of magic spaces that well could be interpreted as resting places for the soul.

It is also amazing to realize the amount of shows that Francisca has done through her young life in almost every continent, and now in the United States where the New Yorkers will have the time to have fun discovering her artistic magic spell.

La prolífica creación de Francisca va más allá de la pintura: creadora digital, fotógrafa, diseñadora de joyas, escultora, artista de performance e instalación, así como video-danza. No sería una exageración afirmar que ella es una fuente inagotable de creatividad y felicidad para quien siga la poesía de su trabajo, cualquiera sea la inclinación de uno en arte.

Siempre he pensado que la creación artística tiene que ofrecer una alternativa válida frente al aburrimiento de nuestra diaria rutina. Y esto es exactamente lo que hace Francisca: es tan agradable ver la variedad de sus creaciones que tú incluso olvidas los efectos devastadores de la hora pico (‘hora punta’ le llaman en España) y empiezas a llenar tu cerebro con suaves imágenes, sugestivas gradaciones de color y sentimientos de espacios mágicos que bien podrían interpretarse como sitios de descanso para el espíritu.

También es impresionante darse cuenta de la cantidad de exposiciones que Francisca ha realizado en su corta vida en casi cada continente, y ahora en los Estados Unidos donde los neoyorquinos tendrán tiempo de disfrutar su conjuro artístico.
